Two major specializations:

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: Dr. Wu’s interest in OCD and related disorders stemmed from increased clinical work with individuals misdiagnosed with other disorders after she began her private practice in 2022. She has studied the gold-standard treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), via trainings and workshops from International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) and NOCD, and augments her didactic training with consultations with master clinicians certified by the internationally recognized Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (A-CBT), which grants Diplomate status to advanced clinicians who have undergone rigorous evaluation for their competence with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies.

Children of Immigrants or Immigrants and LGBTQ clients of color with Post-Traumatic Stress, Depression, and Anxiety: Dr. Wu became a Certified Somatic Therapy Foundations Practitioner in 2026 and has done three years (2021, 2022, 2024) of 6-week live training with master therapists via Gestalt Associates Training Los Angeles’ (GATLA), with hands-on faculty feedback from trauma specialists including Dr. Stephanie Goldsmith.

Dr. Wu’ss post-doctoral training in post-traumatic stress with a focus on BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals was with Dr. Kali Lantrip, the Interpersonal Violence trauma specialist at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) Counseling and Psychological Services. Prior to her post-doctoral work, Dr. Wu focused on working with Asian-American and other BIPOC and LGBTQ+ (including gender-affirming letters for trans and genderqueer) college and graduate students as an intern at UCSB’s Counseling and Psychological Services, where she provided supervision to a practicum student; with undocumented, first-generation, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ undergraduate students and veterans at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB)’s Counseling and Psychological Services; and with first-generation, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ undergraduate students experiencing minority stress due to homophobia/racism, adjustment disorder, anxiety disorders, and depressive disorders at the University of Redlands Counseling Center, where she co-led group treatment for grief with Matt Gragg, LMFT, LPCC.
